Strengthening Networks of SMEs Co-Innovation for Better Future
1. Introduction
In line with 2020 APEC theme “Optimising Human
Potential towards a Future of Shared Prosperity”, and the 2019 APEC SME Ministerial Statement, inclusive growth and
innovation-driven business environment are emphasized continuously by member
economies.
We believe to strengthen networking of the
“cross-sector”, and pave to the development model which promotes innovation and
inclusive growth with focuses on factors of experience-driven and co-creation,
can assist member economies to effectively respond to the aforementioned
issues.
The main outputs of this project are: (1) a 2-day event
with 300 participants to be hosted during August 2020, Taipei. It aims to
provide platforms for SMEs to exchange experiences and knowledge regarding the
“cross-sector” innovation ecosystem; (2) a publication (Monitor) to collect
information on trends of SMEs development which focuses on cross-sector
cooperation and/or innovation. The core beneficiaries are to be delegates from
industry, government, research institutions, and civil society of the member
economies.
2. Objectives
1) To promote the knowledge spillover about cross-sector innovation ecosystem in the APEC region so as to help SMEs comprehensively grasp the gist of cross-sector collaboration.
2) To build a stage for SMEs in APEC and non-APEC economies to acquire abundant relevant knowledge as well as idea-sharing opportunities, to create cross-sector innovation towards more sustainable growth and share prosperity.
