1.Introduction

The Center provides e-learning opportunities for SMEs to obtain knowledge and strategies of crisis management online. Training materials are available to APEC SMEs through access to this Website. The topics covered in this Website include: new trends of international financial crises, preparedness strategies for international financial crises, crisis management plans, securing the supply of raw materials, bankruptcy and reorganization, marketing strategies etc.. The Center will also offer training courses to enhance the ability of SMEs on monitoring, grasping and quickly responding to global economic challenges and crises. The training can be divided into two stages. The first stage is to train the trainers by APEC distinguished experts, and then the trainees go back to their home economies to train SMEs. “Train the Trainers” workshop is to be conducted primarily in Chinese Taipei, but under special circumstances, small training teams can be sent to member economies for small scale professional training.
